POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 3/18/19

Reggie Jackson, DET at CLE
FanDuel = $5,600
DraftKings = $5,100

Jackson injured his ankle during a game last week, but luckily for the Pistons and their playoff chances, he didn’t miss a single game. He’s proven to be an excellent running mate for Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, averaging 18 points, 2.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists across his last 23 contests. The Cavaliers allow the second-most FanDuel points per game and the second-most DraftKings points per game to opposing point guards, leaving Jackson with plenty of upside despite his lack of defensive contributions.

Frank Jackson, NO at DAL
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings = $4,600

There won’t be any reinforcements coming for the Pelicans’ backcourt Monday with Jrue Holiday (abdomen) and E’Twaun Moore (quad) still out. Their absences have left Jackson with an expanded role, which has enabled him to average 17.4 points and 3.6 rebounds across the last five games. With the Pelicans playing at the fourth-fastest pace (103.9 possessions per game) in the league, Jackson is someone to consider in tournament play.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 3/18/19

Damyean Dotson, NY at TOR
FanDuel = $5,900
DraftKings = $5,300

Finding consistent sources for production on the Knicks this season has been a daunting task. With their constantly changing rotations, they remain one of the riskiest teams in DFS. However, Dotson has settled into an expanded role lately by averaging 34 minutes over his last nine games. He’s done nothing to warrant fewer minutes moving forward, averaging 16.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists during that stretch. There is also an opportunity for him to receive more shot attempts if Dennis Smith Jr. (back) is forced to miss his third straight contest.

Jaylen Brown, BOS vs. DEN
FanDuel = $5,200
DraftKings = $4,800

The Celtics incredible depth can cause problems in DFS, but things won’t be as cloudy Monday with Gordon Hayward (neck) listed as doubtful. That should open up added playing time for Brown, who has averaged 16.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and one steal across 13 games in which he has logged at least 30 minutes. If he can at least approach that threshold, he could provide value despite this tough matchup against the Nuggets.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 3/18/19

Joe Ingles, UTA at WAS
FanDuel = $5,900
DraftKings = $5,700

Targeting players on the Jazz could be a wise strategy based on this matchup. The Wizards play at the eighth-fastest pace (102.6) and allow the second-most points per game (116.9) in the league. While Ingles isn’t necessarily a potent offensive force, his ability to contribute in multiple areas makes him very appealing in this matchup. The Wizards also allow the second-most rebounds per game (47.4) and the third-most assists per game (26).

Mikal Bridges, PHO vs. CHI
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings = $4,000

T.J. Warren (ankle) hasn’t played in almost two months and his chances of returning this season are getting bleaker by the day. Since the Suns have nothing left to play for but a high draft pick, it makes no sense to push Warren to return. His absence has helped free up minutes for several players, Bridges included. While not known for his offensive game, Bridges has a somewhat higher scoring upside in this contest since the Bulls have allowed an average of 119.8 points across their last eight games.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 3/18/19

Bam Adebayo, MIA at OKC
FanDuel = $5,800
DraftKings = $5,300

It looks like Adebayo has officially displaced Hassan Whiteside as the Heat’s starting center. It’s hard to argue with the results since he’s averaged 12.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 blocks across 10 games since being placed into that role. The Heat also won six of those games to help them hold onto the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Maxi Kleber, DAL vs. NO
FanDuel = $5,200
DraftKings = $4,800

The main beneficiary of all the moves the Mavericks made at the trade deadline has been Dwight Powell, who has thrived with the adding playing time. Kleber has taken longer to get things rolling, but he’s showing signs lately with three double-doubles over his last four games. He hasn’t always been productive despite significant minutes, so he’s a bit of a risky option. However, this might be a night to take a chance on him in tournament play based on the up-tempo pace at which the Pelicans play.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 3/18/19

Jakob Poeltl, SA vs. GS
FanDuel = $5,300
DraftKings = $4,700

The Spurs come into this matchup riding an eight-game winning streak. Maybe it’s not a coincidence that the streak coincides with Poeltl’s addition to the starting five. With Pau Gasol no longer in the fold, Poeltl has taken advantage of his new role by averaging 7.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, one steal and 2.4 blocks. There’s a chance that DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) won’t take the floor, which would take a significant load off of Poeltl on the defensive end. Don’t be afraid to take a chance on him at this price.

Ante Zizic, CLE vs. DET
FanDuel = $4,300
DraftKings = $4,000

It will be slim pickings for the Cavaliers up front with Tristan Thompson (foot) and Larry Nance Jr. (ribs) expected to remain sidelined. Considering they have to face Andre Drummond, they are going to need Zizic’s size in the middle. There is some concern that he could get into foul trouble, but if he can avoid it, he could see significant playing time and provide value based on his cheap price on both sites.
