NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 4 – Wide Receivers

While there are a lot of high-end wide receivers on the board for Week 4, there are actually several cost-effective options who could be in line for big performances. Let’s dive into the matchups and discuss which ones to consider exploiting. CASH TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 4 - Wide Receivers

Keenan Allen, LAC at MIA
FanDuel = $8,100
DraftKings = $7,600

Allen is going to be one of the most popular wide receivers this week, and rightfully so. He’s been a target monster this season, garnering a whopping 42 of them through three games. He hasn’t let them go to waste, hauling in 29 receptions for 404 yards and three touchdowns. The Chargers will remain short on receiving options without tight end Hunter Henry (knee), so there is no reason to believe that Allen won’t continue to receive all of the work that he can handle. Add in a great matchup against the putrid Dolphins and the sky is the limit for Allen this week.

Cooper Kupp, LAR vs. TB
FanDuel = $7,000
DraftKings = $6,500

The Rams have a lot of weapons at wide receiver with Kupp, Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods. That hasn’t stopped them from relying heavily on Kupp, who has received at least nine targets in each of their three games. While he could only compile 46 yards in Week 1, he’s posted 120 and 102 receiving yards, respectively, over his last two games. He even found the end zone twice in Week 3. After watching Daniel Jones and the Giants torch the Bucs on Sunday, Kupp carries a high floor into this contest.

Tyler Lockett, SEA at ARI
FanDuel = $6,600
DraftKings = $6,300

Entering the season as the top wide receiver for the Seahawks, Lockett caught only one of two targets for 44 yards in Week 1. His only saving grace was that the catch resulted in a touchdown. However, he’s quickly made up for that performance, catching 21 of 26 targets for 233 yards and a touchdown the last two weeks. It doesn’t get much more enticing than facing a Cardinals team that has allowed the eighth-most passing yards per game through the first three weeks, so look for Lockett to once again shine.

GPP TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 4 - Wide Receivers

Sterling Shepard, NYG vs. WAS
FanDuel = $6,500
DraftKings = $5,800

The Giants offense looked completely different with Jones at the helm last week. They attempted more deep passes and the threat of Jones also running with the ball caused an added problem for the Bucs’ defense. Shepard benefited from his new quarterback, catching seven of nine targets for 100 yards and a touchdown. The Giants are going to have to rely even more on their passing game now that Saquon Barkley (ankle) is out, leaving Shepard with tremendous upside.

Terry McLaurin, WAS at NYG
FanDuel = $6,300
DraftKings = $4,500

There hasn’t been much to be excited about with the Redskins during their 0-3 start. If there has been one bright spot, it’s McLaurin. The rookie is quickly emerging as their top wide receiver, receiving at least seven targets in all three of their games. Not only does he already have 257 receiving yards, but he scored a touchdown in each contest. The Giants have allowed the most passing yards per game in the early going, leaving McLaurin with an excellent opportunity to continue his recent run of success. His price on DraftKings almost makes him a must-play there.

Marvin Jones Jr., DET vs. KC
FanDuel = $5,900
DraftKings = $5,400

Kenny Golladay is the undisputed main man in Detroit, but don’t forget about Jones. The reliable veteran made the most of his nine targets last week, recording six receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. He has 19 targets through three weeks and could benefit from opposing defenses focusing their efforts on slowing down Golladay. With the Lions likely needing the throw a lot to keep up with the Chiefs, Jones has the potential to outproduce his price point.

PLAYERS TO AVOID

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 4 - Wide Receivers

Jarvis Landry, CLE at BAL
FanDuel = $6,200
DraftKings = $5,100

The good news for Landry is that he’s still been heavily involved with the offense despite the addition of Odell Beckham Jr., receiving at least seven targets in all three games. However, he didn’t register more than four catches in any of those games and has just 161 total receiving yards. He only had four touchdown receptions last season and is still looking for his first score this year. The Browns have struggled offensively, in general, and playing the Ravens likely isn’t going to help matters. I’d much rather deploy McLaurin in this price range.

Stefon Diggs, MIN at CHI
FanDuel = $6,100
DraftKings = $5,500

Few wide receivers have been as disappointing as Diggs this season. With the Vikings relying heavily on their ground attack, Diggs has received three or fewer targets in two of their three games. When he was targeted seven times in Week 2, he only made one catch, although it was for a 49-yard score. I’m not bailing on him in season-long formats yet, but I want no part of him against a tough Bears’ defense.
