CASH TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 6 - Wide Receivers

Julio Jones, ATL at ARI
FanDuel = $8,500
DraftKings = $8,000

Jones had his worst performance of the season against the Texans last week, recording three receptions for 42 yards. With that poor showing, he’s now posted 52 yards or fewer in three of his five games. On the plus side, he has received at least seven targets in every contest and already has four touchdowns. The Cardinals have one of the worst passing defenses in the league, allowing the ninth-most yards per game and second most touchdowns. Look for Jones to provide a monster stat line here.

Michael Thomas, NO at JAC
FanDuel = $8,200
DraftKings = $7,800

Thomas compiled one of the juicer stat lines in Week 5, catching 11 of 13 targets for 182 yards and two touchdowns. That marked the third game in which he has received 13 targets this season. Even without Drew Brees (thumb), Thomas is one his way to another stellar campaign with 45 catches for 543 yards and three touchdowns. If Jalen Ramsey sits out again, the Jaguars’ defensive secondary isn’t nearly as imposing. With his heavy target share, Thomas is one of the safer options at wide receiver.

Amari Cooper, DAL at NYJ
FanDuel = $8,100
DraftKings = $7,000

Speaking of players who had big performances last week, Cooper shined despite the Cowboys losing to the Packers. He caught 11 of 14 targets for a whopping 226 yards and a touchdown. The key was the Packers build a sizable lead early, which forced the Cowboys to throw more. Even though Cooper is unlikely to see that many targets this week, he still have a favorable matchup against the Jets, so expect him to remain productive.

GPP TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 6 - Wide Receivers

Terry McLaurin, WAS at MIA
FanDuel = $6,400
DraftKings = $6,000

The Redskins are a mess right now. They are still looking for their first win and just fired coach Jay Gruden. If there has been something to be excited about with them, it’s been the play of McLaurin. The rookie has made an immediate impact, catching 19 of 31 targets for 308 yards and three touchdowns across four games. While the Redskins quarterback situation is still up in the air, McLaurin will be the primary receiver for whoever is under center. With the Dolphins allowing the second-most passing yards per game, McLaurin makes for an excellent cost-effective option.

Larry Fitzgerald, ARI vs. ATL
FanDuel = $5,600
DraftKings = $6,100

After posting back-to-back 100 receiving yard games to start the season, Fitzgerald only has a total of 141 yards over the last three games. On the bright side, he did receive 20 targets during that three-game stretch. This has the potential to be a shootout between two teams with bad defenses, which could leave Fitzgerald in line for a busy afternoon. The Falcons have allowed 12 touchdowns through the air, so if there ever was a favorable opportunity for Fitzgerald to find his way into the end zone, this is it.

DeVante Parker, MIA vs. WAS
FanDuel = $5,400
DraftKings = $4,200

The Redskins check into this contest having allowed a league-high 13 touchdown passes. While the Dolphins have looked anemic on offense, this is a rare opportunity for them to put some points on the board. For those looking to attack this matchup, Preston Williams will probably be the Dolphins’ receiver included in the highest percentage of entries. That makes Parker a nice tournament play option. Across the two games that Josh Rosen has started, Parker has caught seven of 10 targets for 126 yards and a touchdown.

PLAYERS TO AVOID

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 6 - Wide Receivers

Robert Woods, LAR vs. SF
FanDuel = $7,100
DraftKings = $5,600

This should be a great game between two of the better teams in the NFC. The 49ers are off to a perfect start in large part because of their improved play on defense. They have allowed only five passing touchdowns all season while recording seven interceptions. Add in the fact that they have given up the second-fewest passing yards per game and this could be tough sledding for the Rams’ passing attack. Woods already has three games with 48 yards or fewer and has still not found his way into the end zone, which doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence for this matchup. His price isn’t terrible on DraftKings, but his price on FanDuel makes him especially unappealing.

Nelson Agholor, PHI at MIN
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings = $4,600

This is going to be a tough game for the Eagles’ offense, in general. The Vikings have allowed the sixth-fewest passing yards per game, and while a lot of that can be attributed to their defense, some of it is because of their offense. They like to run the ball a ton, often giving them a significant edge in time of possession. Agholor only has four targets over his last two games, so stay far, far away from him when crafting your lineup.
