WIDE RECEIVER CASH TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 8 - Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

Cooper Kupp, LAR vs. CIN
FanDuel = $7,700
DraftKings = $7,500

Kupp had a great matchup against a porous Falcons’ secondary last week, and was heavily involved, catching six of eight targets. The problem was, he only turned those six catches into 50 yards.  He already has a whopping 77 targets through his first seven games and will once again have a chance to shine, this time against a Bengals’ defense that is banged up at cornerback.

Tyler Lockett, SEA at ATL
FanDuel = $7,200
DraftKings = $7,000

Despite an underwhelming performance by the Seahawks’ offense, as a group, Lockett had a strong showing last week against the Ravens. Not only did he catch five of seven targets for 61 yards, but he also recorded his fourth touchdown reception of the season. Although he only has one game with at least 100 receiving yards, he has at least four receptions and 51 yards in every game since Week 1. With the Falcons allowing the fifth-most passing yards per game, Lockett once again carries a high floor.

WIDE RECEIVER GPP TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 8 - Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

DK Metcalf, SEA at ATL
FanDuel = $6,600
DraftKings = $5,000

With tight end Will Dissly (Achilles) out for the season, Metcalf received a season-high nine targets in Week 7. Although he only caught four of them for 53 yards, he should continue to have an increased target share moving forward. While he’s not that cheap on FanDuel, his price is extremely appealing on DraftKings.

Marvin Jones Jr., DET vs. NYG
FanDuel = $6,300
DraftKings = $5,800

Jones completely dismantled the Vikings last week, catching 10 of 13 targets for 93 yards and four touchdowns. The touchdown total is obviously an anomaly since Jones only recorded one score across his first five contests. However, he has received at least five targets in five straight games and can benefit from teams planning their defense around stopping Kenny Golladay. The Giants have allowed the 10th-most passing yards per game, leaving Jones with the potential for another useful stat line.

John Brown, BUF vs. PHI
FanDuel = $5,900
DraftKings = $5,900

Brown took advantage of the Dolphins’ horrible secondary in Week 7, scoring his first touchdown since Week 1. He also racked up 83 receiving yards, his most in a game since that same Week 1 contest. The Bills offense might not be all that explosive, but Brown is a key part of it, receiving at least five targets in every game so far. With the Eagles allowing the sixth-most passing yards per game, Brown makes a lot of sense at his price on both sites.

TIGHT END CASH TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 8 - Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

Darren Waller, OAK at HOU
FanDuel = $6,800
DraftKings = $5,900

Despite racking up catches and yards in bunches, Waller entered Week 7 still in search of his first touchdown reception of the season. Not only did he finally find his way into the end zone against the Packers, but he did it twice. Waller already has 50 targets, and with the Raiders lacking talent at wide receiver, he should once again have a significant role versus a Texans’ defense that has allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game.

Hunter Henry, LAC at CHI
FanDuel = $6,700
DraftKings = $4,900

The Chargers suffered yet another tough loss last week, dropping their record to 2-5. While their playoff outlook is grim, Henry’s fantasy prospects are anything but. He was once again heavily involved, catching six of eight targets for 97 yards. In two games since returning from a knee injury, he has caught 14 of 17 targets for 197 yards and two touchdowns. The Bears might not be the easiest defense to face, but Henry is still a great option.

TIGHT END GPP TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 8 - Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

Gerald Everett, LAR vs. CIN
FanDuel = $6,100
DraftKings = $4,300

After a quiet showing against the 49ers in Week 6, Everett bounced back to catch four passes for 50 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the Falcons. He’s emerged as a potent weapon in the Ram’s offense, receiving at least eight targets in three of their last four games. If you’re looking to exploit the Bengals’ defensive injuries, rolling with Everett in a Rams stack could prove to be profitable.

T.J. Hockenson, DET vs. NYG
FanDuel = $5,300
DraftKings = $3,500

It looked like Hockenson was about to take the league by storm when he posted six catches, 131 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 versus the Cardinals. However, he has just 12 catches for 88 yards in five games since. He has received at least five targets in back-to-back weeks, though, so it’s not as if he’s just been left out of the Lions’ offense. With the Giants’ struggles to defend the pass already discussed, Hockenson is at least worth considering at such a cheap price.
