Wednesday’s slate in the NBA is loaded with 10 games, giving you plenty of options for your DFS entry. We took a look at some of the overall excellent plays in Wednesday’s article on Sports Illustrated, but let’s now dive deeper into only the cheaper value plays that can help make you a winner.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

J.J. Barea, DAL at IND
FanDuel = $5,200
DraftKings = $5,000

The Mavericks continue to struggle, but Barea has been one of their better players this season. He’s had an excellent month of December, averaging 12.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.8 three-pointers in 13 games. Although he comes off the bench, he has no shortage of opportunities to produce, posting the second-highest usage rate (25.6%) on the team. The Pacers allow the ninth-most points per game (106.9) in the league, so Barea will have an opportunity to provide value again in this game.

Andrew Harrison, MEM at LAL
FanDuel = $4,200
DraftKings = $4,100

Harrison has been counted on to play extra minutes with Mike Conley (Achilles) out, logging at least 30 minutes in five of his last seven games. He has played well in his new role, averaging 15.0 points, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in those five games. He gets to play a Lakers team that plays at the fastest pace (104.3) in the league Wednesday, leaving him with the potential to provide value at this cheap price.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs. MEM
FanDuel = $5,500
DraftKings = $5,600

Clarkson did an excellent job filling in for the injured Lonzo Ball (shoulder) on Monday, scoring 17 points to go along with six rebounds, seven assists, and four steals in 35 minutes. His performance could have been even better if he didn’t shoot an ugly 8-for-24 from the field. He should be in line to start again Wednesday with Ball still out of action. Considering his 27.8% usage rate is the highest on the Lakers, Clarkson should be in for another big game with extended minutes likely on tap.

Marcus Smart, BOS at CHA
FanDuel = $5,500
DraftKings = $5,200

Smart is playing well right now, averaging 12.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 three-pointers over his last six games. He could see extra playing time Wednesday as the Celtics will have a limited roster with Marcus Morris (knee) out and Jaylen Brown (knee) listed as doubtful. His ceiling isn’t very high based on his 33.7% field goal percentage, but he can still do enough across the board to provide value at this cheap price.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

DeMarre Carroll, BKN at NO
FanDuel = $5,600
DraftKings = $5,300

Carroll couldn’t have played much worse Tuesday against the Spurs, scoring only two points on 1-of-10 shooting from the field. Chalk that up to one bad game against a good defense as he was shooting 42.2% from the field in six games entering Tuesday. Look for him to be more productive Wednesday as both the Nets and the Pelicans are in the top-seven in the league in pace of play. Not only that, but the Pelicans allow the second-most points per game on FanDuel and the most points per game on DraftKings to opposing small forwards.

Wilson Chandler, DEN at MIN
FanDuel = $5,300
DraftKings = $4,700

Chandler has seen extensive playing time for the Nuggets, logging at least 33 minutes in five straight games. He’s played well over that stretch, averaging 13.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.2 three-pointers per game. He struggled to only score five points against these same Timberwolves last week but salvaged the game with 10 rebounds and six assists. He might not have a ton of upside based on his limited offensive game, but that doesn’t mean he’s not someone to consider at this price based on his ability to contribute in other areas.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Trey Lyles, DEN at MIN
FanDuel = $5,000
DraftKings = $4,400

Lyles has established a significant role off the bench for the Nuggets, averaging 27 minutes per game in December. His production this month has been excellent, averaging 14.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.9 three-pointers per game. There are no signs of his minutes dwindling anytime soon as Kenneth Faried hasn’t even played in the last five games. The price is right to take a chance on his recent run of production continuing Wednesday.

Markieff Morris, WAS at ATL
FanDuel = $4,500
DraftKings = $4,700

Morris’ minutes are way down this season at only 24 minutes per game, his fewest since the 2012-13 season. He’s played a little more than that lately though, logging at least 27 minutes in four of his last five games. Those four games came against the Cavaliers, Nets, Magic and Celtics, all teams that use a lot of small lineups. He’ll face a similar opponent Wednesday as the Hawks don’t have much size up front. Morris is averaging 13.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 block in the last seven games that he has played at least 27 minutes, making him a viable option based on his potential Wednesday.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Enes Kanter, NY at CHI
FanDuel = $6,000
DraftKings = $6,800

Kanter is having a stellar season for the Knicks, averaging a double-double (14.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per game) for the first time in his career. He destroyed Joel Embiid and the Sixers on Monday, scoring 31 points to go along with 22 rebounds. That’s not good news for Robin Lopez and the Bulls. The Bulls don’t have much size outside of Lopez either, so this has the makings of another big game for Kanter, although you shouldn’t expect him to replicate Monday’s performance.

Jonas Valanciunas, TOR at OKC
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings – $4,700

Valanciunas continues to struggle to get playing time this season, averaging a career-low 21 minutes per game. He’s shown what he can do with extended minutes, averaging 18.3 points and 13.0 rebounds in the last four games that he played at least 25 minutes. Three of those games came against the Kings, Suns, and Clippers, each of which is either a team with depth up front or a dominant center who gets plenty of playing time. He faces a similar opponent Wednesday as center Steven Adams is averaging 33 minutes per game for the Thunder. The potential for added minutes is here, so Valanciunas has some upside.

Wednesday’s slate in the NBA is loaded with 12 games, giving you plenty of options for your DFS entry.

George Hill, SAC at BKN
FanDuel = $4,600
DraftKings = $4,800

Hill did not play Tuesday due to an illness but is expected to return for Wednesday’s game against the Nets. Fellow guard De’Aaron Fox (quad) entered Tuesday’s game with an injury and tried to play, but had to leave the game early. Considering Fox missed Sunday’s game with the same injury, it would be surprising if he plays Wednesday. That would leave Hill in line for increased minutes, giving him a boost in value. He scored 16 points to go along with five assists and one steal in 33 minutes with Fox out Sunday, making him someone to consider again for this game.

Dejounte Murray, SA at POR
FanDuel = $4,300
DraftKings = $4,100

The Spurs have ruled out starting point guard Tony Parker (rest) on Wednesday, which should open up more playing time for Murray. Murray started the last three games that Parker missed, averaging 19.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. While it might be hard to replicate those numbers Wednesday, he won’t need to in order to still have excellent value at this price.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Justin Holiday, CHI vs. ORL
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings = $5,200

Holiday has seen significant playing time of late, logging at least 38 minutes in three of his last six games. The Bulls finally have some depth with Nikola Mirotic, Bobby Portis, and David Nwaba all healthy, which is making it harder for defenses to key in on Holiday. He’s not just an offensive threat either as he is averaging career-highs in both rebounds (4.5) and steals (1.3) per game. The Magic play at the seventh-fastest pace (102.2) in the league, so look for Holiday to have a chance to make a big impact in this game.

Josh Hart, LAL at HOU
FanDuel = $3,900
DraftKings = $3,000

Hart is likely to receive another start Wednesday as Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will be unable to play as he can’t leave the state of California due to a legal issue. Hart started on the road Thursday against the Cavaliers, finishing with 11 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 33 minutes. Both the Lakers and Rockets are in the top-eight in the league in pace of play, so this could be a high-scoring affair. Hart is someone to consider based on his dirt cheap price on both sites.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Josh Richardson, MIA at BOS
FanDuel = $5,800
DraftKings = $5,900

The Heat are running out of healthy players. Hassan Whiteside (knee) and James Johnson (ankle) have already been ruled out Wednesday, Justise Winslow (knee) is doubtful and Goran Dragic (elbow) is going to try and play after missing Monday’s game. With so few options left, Richardson has been forced to log at least 36 minutes in three of his last four games. He has shown great upside in his last two games, averaging 27.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 2.5 blocks and 4.0 three-pointers per contest. With plenty of minutes likely available Wednesday, consider Richardson for your entry.

Mario Hezonja, ORL at CHI
FanDuel = $4,800
DraftKings = $4,700

Injuries continue to pile up around the league as the Magic will be without Aaron Gordon (calf) on Wednesday. Hezonja has played at least 31 minutes in three of the last four games due to Gordon’s absence, averaging 17.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.3 blocks and 3.7 three-pointers per contest. The Bulls have allowed at least 100 points in five of their last six games, so this could be another high-scoring contest based on the Magic’s pace of play. He is only shooting guard eligible on DraftKings, but should still provide value on both sites regardless of his position.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Kyle Kuzma, LAL at HOU
FanDuel = $5,400
DraftKings = $5,800

The Lakers frontcourt is going to be a little thin going forward as Brook Lopez (ankle) has been ruled out for three weeks. While he wasn’t playing particularly well, Lopez was still averaging 22 minutes per game. Kuzma should be one of the players who benefits from Lopez’s absence, which he showed by playing 40 minutes in Monday’s overtime loss to the Warriors. The Rockets like to use a lot of small lineups, which fits well with Kuzma’s skillset. The price is right to get him in your lineup for this game.

Trey Lyles, DEN vs. MIN
FanDuel = $4,800
DraftKings = $4,800

Lyles did not play much earlier this year, logging at least 20 minutes in only one of the first 19 games. An injury to Nikola Jokic opened up some playing time for Lyles, and it doesn’t look like he’s planning on going back to a limited role anytime soon. He’s developed a consistent role over his last 10 games, averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 three-pointers per contest. He’s passed Kenneth Faried on the depth chart as Faried hasn’t even played in two of the last four games. At this price, it might be worth taking a chance that Lyles keeps things rolling Wednesday.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Alex Len, PHO at LAC
FanDuel = $5,700
DraftKings = $5,600

The Suns center position is extremely frustrating. They have been rotating DNP’s between Len, Tyson Chandler, and Greg Monroe, making it difficult to choose who to us in DFS any given night. One sliver of hope is that Len has played the last three games in a row, averaging 11.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 blocks per game. He seems to be the more talented player between the three, it’s just a matter of getting consistent minutes. Keep an eye on his status throughout the day as he has value at this price if he takes the floor.

Bam Adebayo, MIA at BOS
FanDuel = $4,900
DraftKings = $4,600

With all the Heat’s problems with injuries already detailed, Adebayo is one of the players who has been counted on for extra minutes. His offensive upside isn’t great, but Adebayo has averaged 11.0 points and 6.2 rebounds over his last five games. This isn’t an ideal matchup against a tough Celtics defense, but there aren’t great cheap options at center Wednesday. If you want to take a chance on someone who won’t cost much, Adebayo could provide value.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Damian Lillard, POR at ORL
FanDuel = $9,500
DraftKings = $9,400

Lillard only scored 18 points in his last game Wednesday against the Heat, but he was rolling before that with at least 29 points in four straight games. He’s been dealing with a sore ankle of late, but hasn’t missed any time and is expected to play Friday. This is a great matchup against the Magic as not only do they play at the seventh-fastest pace (102.2) in the league but they also really struggle to defend point guards. Look for Lillard to get back to his scoring ways in this game, providing an excellent option for your entry.

Milos Teodosic, LAC at WAS
FanDuel = $6,300
DraftKings = $4,500

Teodosic is still rounding into form after missing 22 games due to injury but did manage to get up to 25 minutes in his last game Wednesday against the Magic. He made the most of his playing time, scoring eight points to go along with six rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block. The Clippers will be without Austin Rivers (concussion) on Friday, which could lead to more minutes for Teodosic if the club feels he is ready. If you are looking for a cheaper point guard option with upside, Teodosic might be your man.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Lou Williams, LAC at WAS
FanDuel = $8,800
DraftKings = $7,600

The Clippers have been decimated by injuries this year, leaving them to count on Williams more than they expected. Even though he has only started five games, he’s averaging a career-high 31 minutes per contest. Never one to shy away from shots, Williams is averaging 14.8 attempts per game, resulting in a career-high 20.0 points. With Rivers and Danilo Gallinari (hip) out Friday, Williams is primed for another big scoring night against the Wizards.

Gary Harris, DEN vs. NO
FanDuel = $6,400
DraftKings = $6,400

Harris showed why he is one of the main offensive weapons for the Nuggets by scoring 36 points Wednesday against the Celtics. He’s averaging the most minutes per game (34) on the team, giving him an added opportunity to produce. The Pelicans play at the sixth-fastest pace (102.3) and allow the second-most points per game (111.5) in the league, which is good news for the offensive-minded Harris. If you don’t want to pay up for Williams, look no further than Harris for excellent upside.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL vs. CHI
FanDuel = $12,500
DraftKings = $11,600

Giannis may have the highest floor of any player in DFS. Playing time is never a problem as he’s averaging 38 minutes per game and his 33.5% usage rate is fifth-best in the NBA. While he has some talented players around him in Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton, they compliment his game well without taking away any scoring opportunities. Few teams in the NBA have someone who can match up with him defensively, but the Bulls don’t have anyone close to being capable of slowing him down. Get ready for a huge performance.

Rudy Gay, SA at HOU
FanDuel = $5,400
DraftKings = $5,700

It’s no surprise that Gay has seen a decrease in production since joining the Spurs as they brought him in to be more of a supporting piece as opposed to a leading scoring. Not only is Gay averaging a career-low 24 minutes per game, but his average of 12.8 points per game is the lowest since his rookie season. He’s played better than that lately though, averaging 16.3 points and 7.3 rebounds over his last six games. The Rockets like to use a lot of small lineups, which could mean a few extra minutes for Gay. He’s priced low enough to be a viable option Friday.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Serge Ibaka, TOR vs. BKN
FanDuel = $6,500
DraftKings = $6,100

Ibaka has turned back the clock lately, averaging 18.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 3.0 three-pointers over his last six games. He gets to play the Nets Friday, a team that doesn’t have a ton of quality depth up front. The Nets also play at the second-fastest pace (104.2) in the league, so Ibaka is going to get extra chances to keep his recent hot streak alive. With a significant role on tap for this game, get Ibaka in your lineup.

John Collins, ATL at MEM
FanDuel = $5,900
DraftKings = $5,500

After missing six straight games, Collins returned to play 19 minutes Thursday against the Pistons. He made the most of his limited minutes, scoring 15 points to go along with seven rebounds, one steal, and one block. Despite playing only 23 minutes per game this season, the talented rookie has still managed to average 11.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per contest. The Hawks are thin up front with Dewayne Dedmon (leg) out and really need Collins to produce. Although he may again see limited minutes in the second night of a back-to-back Friday, he’s priced low enough to warrant consideration.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Andre Drummond, DET at IND
FanDuel = $9,400
DraftKings = $9,100

Drummond is in a scoring slump, averaging only 7.8 points over his last four games. He still provides value even when he’s not scoring though as he also averaged 15.3 rebounds over that same stretch. Friday will mark his third game of the season already against the Pacers, a team that allows the second-most DraftKings points per game and the most FanDuel points per game to opposing centers. Drummond was no outlier, averaging 12.5 points, 18.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in those two games. He’ll cost you a lot, but should be worth it based on his opponent.

Marcin Gortat, WAS vs. LAC
FanDuel = $4,500
DraftKings = $5,300

Gortat shouldn’t be confused with a high-upside play as he just doesn’t score enough to be in that class. He still hovers around a double-double though, averaging 9.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game this season. The Wizards are going to need him Friday because although the Clippers have a ton of injuries, DeAndre Jordan is healthy and logging 33 minutes per game. Gortat finished with nine points and eight rebounds when these same two teams met Saturday, so he can provide value at this cheap price.

Wednesday’s slate in the NBA is packed with nine games, giving you plenty of options for your DFS entry. We took a look at some of the overall excellent plays for Wednesday’s article on Sports Illustrated, but let’s now dive deeper into only the cheaper value plays that can help make you a winner.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Rajon Rondo, NO vs. MIL
FanDuel = $5,800
DraftKings = $6,300

The addition of Rondo may have seemed unnecessary to some with Jrue Holiday already in the fold, but it doesn’t look like such a crazy move with his recent play. Over the last six games, Rondo has been excellent by averaging 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 11.5 assists per game. The Pelicans have scored the fourth-most points per game (110.7) and play at the sixth-fastest pace (102.4) in the league, so Rondo is getting a lot of chances to accumulate assists. Based on his recent play, he’s someone to consider Wednesday.

Milos Teodosic, LAC at ORL
FanDuel = $4,500
DraftKings = $3,900

The Clippers had high hopes for Teodosic leading them at point guard this season, but he only played two games before going down with a foot injury. He played 21 minutes in his return against the Toronto Raptors on Monday and finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, and two-three-pointers. Shooting only 4-for-12 from the field, his line could have been much better if he wasn’t ice cold. He should play more minutes Wednesday against a Magic team that allows the second most fantasy points per game on both FanDuel and DraftKings to opposing point guards. There is potential here with Teodosic.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Jeremy Lamb, CHA at HOU
FanDuel = $4,900
DraftKings = $5,400

Lamb started Monday against the Oklahoma City Thunder as Nicolas Baum (elbow) was unable to play. He ended up playing 33 minutes and scored 14 points on 17 shots. The volume was encouraging even though his overall point total left something to be desired. Batum is listed as doubtful for Wednesday, so Lamb would likely get another start if he can’t go. Both the Hornets and Rockets are in the top-10 in the league in terms of pace of play, so this could be a high scoring game. If Lamb’s shot is falling, he could provide excellent value.

E’Twaun Moore, NO vs. MIL
FanDuel = $4,600
DraftKings = $4,800

Moore has seen a lot of action for the Pelicans lately, logging at least 35 minutes in seven straight games. He had done that only once all season, so some of that has to do with Anthony Davis (groin) missing four of those seven games. Even so, Moore has been great offensively during that stretch, averaging 19.4 points and 3.6 three-pointers. Davis is questionable for Wednesday’s game, but Moore has likely earned himself more minutes even if Davis returns. At such a low price, he’s worth taking a chance on, especially if Davis doesn’t play.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

David Nwaba, CHI vs. UTA
FanDuel = $4,600
DraftKings = $4,100

The rebuilding Bulls may have found themselves a player in Nwaba. He provides a ton of energy off the bench and can contribute on both ends of the floor, something a team lacking overall talent desperately needs. Nwaba has earned himself more playing time and has cashed in the opportunity over his last three games, averaging 13.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 26 minutes per contest. Don’t expect him to lose any playing time if he keeps this up, so take a chance on him Wednesday based on his upside at this price. Of note, Nwaba is only small forward eligible on FanDuel as he is eligible at point guard and shooting guard on DraftKings.

Wilson Chandler, DEN at BOS
FanDuel = $4,100
DraftKings = $4,600

Chandler hasn’t played in four of the Nuggets last 11 games, so he may have fallen off of your radar. Although his numbers are way down this season, he’s played better over the last three games by averaging 15.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.0 three-pointers. The Celtics may be forced to go small Wednesday with both Al Horford (rest) and Marcus Morris (knee) out of action, which is a good fit for Chandler’s style of play. He’s not as bad as his early numbers indicate and now that he’s showing signs of coming out of his funk, he’s a viable option for your entry Wednesday.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Serge Ibaka, TOR at PHO
FanDuel = $5,800
DraftKings = $5,700

I’m not normally a big fan of Ibaka based on the regression he’s seen in the rebounding and blocks departments, but you can’t ignore his play of late. Entering Wednesday, he’s averaging 18.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks over his last five games. One of those games was against these same Suns when he scored 19 points to go along with six rebounds and three blocks, which is not very surprising considering how bad the Suns are. I’m willing to take a chance on him keeping his recent string of success going for at least one more game based on his opponent.

Marvin Williams, CHA at HOU
FanDuel = $4,900
DraftKings = $4,900

The Hornets finally received reinforcements up front Monday when Frank Kaminsky returned from an ankle injury. Williams still played big minutes though, scoring 18 points and grabbing seven rebounds in 32 minutes. This is a solid matchup for Williams on Wednesday against the Rockets as they like to go small and shoot three’s. Williams excels on the perimeter, averaging 1.7 three-pointers per game. The price is right to roll with him again in this game.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Steven Adams, OKC at IND
FanDuel = $6,900
DraftKings = $6,400

Adams continues to anchor the Thunder in the middle, averaging 18.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.0 steal over his last six games. He excelled in his first game against the Pacers earlier this season, posting 17 points, 11 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. With the Thunder’s lack of depth, there is really no viable option behind Adams at center. With all the minutes he can handle again Wednesday, he makes a great option for your entry.

Aron Baynes, BOS vs. DEN
FanDuel = $3,600
DraftKings = $3,900

With Horford and Morris out, expect Baynes to start and play significant minutes in this game. Baynes started two games for Horford earlier this season, scoring 21 points and grabbing eight rebounds in one of them. He’s played at least 23 minutes in seven games this season, averaging 8.7 points and 7.6 rebounds. He won’t cost you much, making him someone you should consider in tournament play.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Kemba Walker, CHA vs. CHI
FanDuel = $8,700
DraftKings = $8,100

The Hornets are off to a rough start this season, but Walker has continued to shine with averages of 22.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.3 three-pointers per game. He plays a ton as he hasn’t averaged less than 34 minutes per game since his rookie season, which gives him plenty of opportunities to produce. Friday brings a great matchup against a bad Bulls team that he destroyed for 47 points, six rebounds, five assists and five three-pointers earlier this season. The Bulls have the worst point differential (-11.2) in the league, making Walker an excellent option to help win you some money.

Rajon Rondo, NO vs. SAC
FanDuel = $6,100
DraftKings = $5,900

Rondo is rounding into form of late, averaging 11.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 9.8 assists over his last four games. Not only will Rondo continue to rack up assists with excellent offensive players in Anthony Davis (groin), DeMarcus Cousins and Jrue Holiday around him, it also makes it so defenses can’t pay much attention to him. While he’s never going to be a significant scorer on this team, he can score enough to be a viable DFS option once you factor in his rebounds and assists.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Gary Harris, DEN at ORL
FanDuel = $6,900
DraftKings = $6,400

Harris was expected to be one of the main offensive weapons on the Nuggets this season, but he got off to a slow start by averaging only 12.4 points and 2.2 three-pointers over his first 12 games. He’s caught fire since, averaging 18.7 points and 2.8 three-pointers over his last 10 games. With Nikola Jokic (ankle) out of action, he should continue to see increased scoring chances. The Magic play at the sixth-fastest pace (102.7) in the league, so Harris could be a nice addition to your entry Friday based on his potential.

Dwyane Wade, CLE at IND
FanDuel = $6,100
DraftKings = $5,500

Wade struggled to produce Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings, but that’s been the outlier of late as he had averaged 18.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals in his previous five games. The Cavaliers have hit their stride with Wade moving to the second unit and have now won 13 consecutive games. The move has done wonders for Wade’s value as well as his usage rate as a member of the second unit is 25.5%, compared to 20.9% as a starter. Expect him to get back on track with a valuable line Friday.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

LeBron James, CLE at IND
FanDuel = $12,000
DraftKings = $11,700

You don’t really need a whole lot of justification to include James in your entry on any given night. He has the ninth-best usage rate (30.3%) in the league and continues to run the offense as the Cavaliers have been a mess at point guard. In his previous game against the Pacers this season, James finished with 33 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and one block. He’s very expensive but should be worth it Friday.

Dante Cunningham, NO vs. SAC
FanDuel = $4,700
DraftKings = $3,600

Cunningham has stepped up with Davis out of action, averaging 8.7 points and 9.0 rebounds over his last three games. Davis is questionable for Friday’s game, so get Cunningham in your lineup if he is unable to play. The Kings have moved to a smaller lineup of late, which would benefit Cunningham even further. If Davis is able to play, Cunningham is no longer an intriguing value play, so make sure you check on Davis’ status leading up to the game.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Zach Randolph, SAC at NO
FanDuel = $6,700
DraftKings = $5,900

The Kings have been one of the more frustrating teams in the league in terms of their rotations, but are finally starting to play Randolph extended minutes as he has played at least 31 minutes in three straight games. They’ve decided to go small with Willie Cauley-Stein (back) out, moving Randolph over to center. It’s worked so far as Randolph has averaged 21.7 points and 10.0 rebounds over his last three games. With Cauley-Stein out again Friday, Randolph could put up big numbers if he can avoid foul trouble defending DeMarcus Cousins.

Marvin Williams, CHA vs. CHI
FanDuel = $4,400
DraftKings = $3,900

The Hornets are really banged up in their frontcourt as Frank Kaminsky (ankle) and Cody Zeller (knee) will both be out Friday. With so little depth behind them, that means Williams and center Dwight Howard could be in for heavy workloads. Outside of Robin Lopez, the Bulls don’t have much size up front either as Cristiano Felicio has mostly fallen out of the rotation due to his struggles. Wiliams could potentially even see some time at backup center when the Bulls go small, making him someone you should consider at this price.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

DeMarcus Cousins, NO vs. SAC
FanDuel = $12,000
DraftKings = $11,800

If Davis is unable to play Friday, Cousins is another player who would see increased value. He exploded with Davis out Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets as he scored 40 points to go along with 22 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks. This is his second meeting this season against his former team in the Kings and he crushed them the first time, scoring 41 points and grabbing 23 rebounds. It’s important to note that Davis did not play in that game either. He’s a virtual must-start Friday if Davis is out, but is still worth playing even if Davis does manage to return.

Jakob Poeltl, TOR at MEM
FanDuel = $4,500
DraftKings = $3,600

The Raptors clearly don’t want to give Jonas Valanciunas significant playing time as he is averaging a career-low 20 minutes per game. Poeltl is one of the players who has eaten up some of the center minutes of late, playing at least 19 minutes in three of his last four games. He’s done the most with his opportunity, averaging 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in those three games. If you want to take a chance on a cheap center in tournament play, take a look at Poeltl.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

De’Aaron Fox, SAC at CLE
FanDuel = $5,000
DraftKings – $4,600

The Kings continue to throw out head-scratching rotations as no player on the team is averaging more than 26 minutes per game. The silver lining is Fox is one of three players averaging 26 minutes, so at least he gets more run than most. While not outstanding, his numbers are respectable this season as he’s averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 0.9 steals per game. The Cavaliers have had their problems defending points guards this season, so Fox has the potential to be productive in this game.

Shaun Livingston, GS at CHA
FanDuel = $4,300
DraftKings = $4,400

The Warriors have lost star point guard Stephen Curry (ankle) for at least two weeks, leaving Patrick McCaw (nose) and Livingston to cover his minutes. McCaw has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game, leaving Livingston with a potentially big role against the Hornets. Livingston has only played at least 20 minutes in a game once this season, but he was productive with 16 points, two rebounds, six assists, and one steal. Take a chance on him Wednesday.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

E’Twaun Moore, NO vs. DEN
FanDuel = $4,800
DraftKings = $4,200

Moore is getting an excellent opportunity to thrive in New Orleans as he is averaging a career-high 31 minutes per game. He’s shown he can be an offensive weapon when given extended run as he is averaging 12.5 points and 1.7 three-pointers per game this season. He’s been even better of late though, scoring at least 16 points and hitting at least four three-pointers in four of his last five games. The Pelicans should be without Anthony Davis (groin) again Wednesday, leaving added shots on the table for Moore. The price is right to take a chance on him for your entry.

Malcolm Brogdon, MIL vs. DET
FanDuel = $4,400
DraftKings = $4,700

Speaking of frustrating rotations, Bucks coach Jason Kidd also throws out some perplexing combinations. He had played guard Jason Terry (calf) at least 18 minutes in three straight games entering Monday and it looked like it could have been four in a row had Terry not been injured in the contest. With Terry out Wednesday, Brogdon should pick up some of his minutes. With defenses having to focus on Giannis Antetokounmpo, Eric Bledsoe, and Khris Middleton, Brogdon might get a few more open looks in this game.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Bojan Bogdanovic, IND vs. CHI
FanDuel = $4,900
DraftKings = $4,800

Bogdanovic is quietly not only having the best season of his career, but he’s become a very valuable member of a Pacers team that has played better than many people expected. He’s getting an opportunity to produce as he is averaging career-highs in minutes (31) and shot attempts (10.9) per game. He’s been particularly lethal from behind the arc, shooting 44.5%. The Bulls really struggle defensively and are just a bad team in general at this point. Bogdanovic already scored 22 points and hit six three-pointers against them earlier this season, so another valuable performance may be in the works.

Dante Cunningham, NO vs. DEN
FanDuel = $4,600
DraftKings = $3,600

Cunningham has started the last two games with Anthony Davis (groin) on the shelf and has filled in admirably, averaging 9.5 points and 10.5 rebounds. He played 32 minutes in their last game Monday against the Warriors, marking only the fourth time this season that he has logged at least 30 minutes in a game. The Nuggets are also banged up with Paul Millsap (wrist) and Nikola Jokic (ankle) out, giving Cunningham a nice chance to provide value at a dirt cheap price.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Ersan Ilyasova, ATL at ORL
FanDuel = $5,300
DraftKings = $4,800

Injuries have already created added opportunity in Atlanta as several key members of the Hawks frontcourt will be out again Wednesday. Ilyasova showed what he can do with extended minutes as he scored 22 points and hit four-three pointers when he played 30 minutes in a game last week against the Cavaliers. While his last two games haven’t been great, he did just miss a double-double Saturday against the Nets. This could be a high-scoring game against a Magic team that plays at the sixth-fastest pace (102.8) in the league, so take a look at Ilyasova for your entry.

Bobby Portis, CHI at IND
FanDuel = $4,400
DraftKings = $4,700

Portis may be in for a reduction in play time soon as Nikola Mirotic (face) is getting close to returning. He’ll still be out Wednesday though, which is good news for Portis’ value. Portis provides an offensive punch off the bench for the Bulls as he has scored at least 10 points in four of his last six games. He had one of his best games earlier this season against these same Pacers when he scored 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Kris Dunn is actually the only player who plays significant minutes on the Bulls that has a higher usage rate than Portis’ 24.9%. As far as cheap options with upside go, Portis definitely makes the list Wednesday.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks - Value Plays

Mason Plumlee, DEN at NO
FanDuel = $5,800
DraftKings = $4,700

With Jokic injured, Plumlee has started both of the last two games for the Nuggets. While he only scored three points in his last game against the Dallas Mavericks, he showed his potential the prior game when he scored 12 points to go along with six rebounds and six assists Saturday against the Lakers. The Nuggets are going to need Plumlee to step up Wednesday against DeMarcus Cousins, so he could be in for significant minutes if he can stay out of foul trouble. With his passing ability, extended playing time could give him a big bump in value.

Bam Adebayo, MIA at SA
FanDuel = $4,500
DraftKings = $4,000

Noticing a trend here? It’s important to know which players are injured as their backups are usually priced cheap, but can provide excellent value when given an opportunity to play. Adebayo is another injury fill in as he’s playing more minutes with Hassan Whiteside (knee) sidelined. The Heat like to go small when they can with Whiteside out, but they likely won’t have that luxury Wednesday against a big Spurs front line. His upside isn’t that high, but he did record a double-double in 31 minutes earlier this season against the Timberwolves. If you’re filling out a tournament entry Wednesday, you might want to take a chance on Adebayo.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Eric Bledsoe, MIL at POR
FanDuel = $7,500
DraftKings = $6,800

Bledsoe has played well since being traded to the Bucks as he’s averaging 15.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.1 three-pointers per game with his new squad. Now the second best offensive weapon on the team, he’s posting a 27.9% usage rate. His numbers are going to continue to get better as he gets accustomed to his new teammates and he’s already showing signs of that as he has averaged 23.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists over his last three games. On a night with only five games on the schedule, Bledsoe presents an excellent option for your entry.

Jamal Murray, DEN vs. CHI
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings = $5,000

Murray doesn’t provide much outside of scoring, but he has managed to average 13.9 points and 1.2 three-pointers in only 27 minutes per game. He still has a significant role in the offense as his 24.4% usage rate is the highest on the team. Thursday’s matchup against the Bulls is favorable for Murray as the Bulls struggle to defend point guards. They have been especially poor of late, allowing an average of 23.6 points per game to opposing starting point guards over their last three contests. At this price, Murray can provide value.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Lou Williams, LAC vs. UTA
FanDuel = $8,000
DraftKings = $7,300

The Clippers are absolutely decimated by injuries and will be without Blake Griffin, Patrick Beverley, Danilo Gallinari and Milos Teodosic on Thursday. When you think about how much offense the Clippers were counting on from Griffin and Gallinari, that’s a lot of scoring to make up for. Enter Williams as he is never afraid to shoot the rock. He is currently averaging a career-high 13.7 shot attempts per game to go along with a 27.8% usage rate. Expect him to lead the Clippers offense Thursday, giving him value even at this expensive price.

Gary Harris, DEN vs. CHI
FanDuel = $6,100
DraftKings = $5,600

One thing you get with Harris is consistent playing time as he has played at least 30 minutes in all but three games this season, one of which he played 29 minutes. He’s not going to give you much in the way of rebounds or assists, but he makes up for it by averaging 1.8 steals to go along with 14.3 points per game. He has actually had at least three steals in three of his last four games. With plenty of minutes and shots on tap for Thursday’s matchup against a bad Bulls defense, consider adding Harris into your lineup.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at POR
FanDuel = $11,800
DraftKings = $11,100

Not much needs to be said to make a case to start Giannis on Thursday. His 33.5% usage rate is fifth-best in the NBA, which is even better when you take into consideration he leads the league with 37 minutes per game. He also crushed the Trail Blazers earlier this season when he scored 44 points to go along with eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block. He and LeBron James are the two best options at small forward for the evening, but I’d lean towards Giannis as this game should be more competitive than the Cavaliers taking on a bad Atlanta Hawks team.

Juan Hernangomez, DEN vs. CHI
FanDuel = $4,000
DraftKings = $3,700

While the Nuggets aren’t as injury-riddled as the Clippers, they are dealing with problems of their own with Paul Millsap out for three months and Wilson Chandler already ruled out for this game with a back injury. Chandler missed the Nuggets last game Tuesday, leading to a start for Hernangomez. He came through with seven points, 10 rebounds and one block in 28 minutes, marking his best game of the season. With the expectation that he will see increased minutes again Thursday, he could provide significant value at this cheap price.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Derrick Favors, UTA at LAC
FanDuel = $7,400
DraftKings = $6,600

Favors is in the midst of his best stretch this season as he is averaging 19.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over his last five games. With so little depth behind him up front due to Rudy Gobert’s injury, he is going to continue to see extended playing time. This should be a fun matchup against DeAndre Jordan, one of the few quality big men still healthy on the Clippers. With Jordan likely to get heavy minutes, the Jazz will need Favors to come through again. Without a lot of great options at power forward for your entry, Favors provides one of the safer bets to produce.

Marcus Morris, BOS vs. PHI
FanDuel = $4,600
DraftKings = $4,700

Morris has taken a big step backward in terms of playing time as his 24 minutes per game is his lowest average since the 2013-14 season. With the talent Boston has up front, that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. The good news is that he has done more with less as his 23.9% usage rate is the highest of his career. With Joel Embiid resting for the Sixers Thursday, they could use some smaller-than-usual lineup combinations. The Sixers play at the fourth-fastest pace (104.8) in the NBA already, so this could be one of the more uptempo games you see the Celtics play. Take a chance on Morris to have a big game based on his opponent and his reasonable price.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. CHI
FanDuel = $9,500
DraftKings = $9,100

With Embiid resting Thursday, Jokic becomes the center with the highest upside. While his scoring is slightly down, his overall numbers are even better than last year as he’s averaging 15.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 three-pointers per game. One of the best passing centers in the league, his ability to contribute in multiple categories gives him the potential to provide massive production any given night. With a matchup against the Bulls on the slate, this could be one of those evenings when Jokic leads you to some money in DFS.

DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs. UTA
FanDuel = $7,400
DraftKings = $7,100

With Jordan approaching last-man-standing status in the Clippers frontcourt, he could put up some big numbers going forward. His scoring is down at 10.0 points per game, but he may get a few extra shot attempts with Griffin now on the sidelines. Always a valuable contributor on the glass, he should get all the minutes he can handle Thursday. If you can’t pay up for Jokic, Jordan can provide value at a more budget-friendly price.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Kyle Lowry, TOR at NY
FanDuel = $8,000
DraftKings = $8,200

Lowry’s scoring is down significantly this season at only 14.6 points per game, However, most of that is due to a poor start as he has scored at least 17 points in six of his last seven games. Wednesday brings a rematch against the Knicks, a team that posted 22 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists and five-three pointers against last week. That should come as no surprise as the Knicks struggle to defend opposing point guards, so roll with Lowry again in this game.

Mario Chalmers, MEM vs. DAL
FanDuel = $5,600
DraftKings = $5,000

Chalmers has played well as a member of the starting five for the Grizzlies, averaging 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.3 steals in four starts this season. While his usage rate is about the same whether he starts or comes off the bench, he’s averaging seven more minutes per game as a starter, leading to the added value. The Mavericks are in the top-10 in terms of most fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards this season, making Chalmers an excellent value play.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Bradley Beal, WAS at CHA
FanDuel = $7,700
DraftKings = $7,800

Beal has been an offensive force again this season, averaging 24.2 points and 2.2 three-pointers per game. Throw in averages of 4.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game and you get an excellent all-around option. His 28.8% usage rate is the highest on the team and puts him inside the top-20 in the NBA. The Hornets are allowing the fifth-most points per game (24.6) to opposing shooting guards this season, making Beal a strong option for your entry.

Troy Daniels, PHO vs. MIL
FanDuel = $3,400
DraftKings = $3,300

With so many elite players in action Wednesday, you want to try and find a couple of really cheap tournament plays to help with your budget. Daniels has surprisingly been a big part of the Suns’ offense of late, averaging 15.7 points and 4.3 three-pointers over his last three games. The Suns play at the second-fastest pace (106.6) in the NBA, so Daniels has opportunities to produce even in limited minutes. He won’t cost you much, so take a chance on him in tournament play if you need to save some money.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Paul George, OKC vs. GS
FanDuel = $8,500
DraftKings = $8,500

This will be a fun game to see how the Thunder’s new “big 3” hold up against the loaded Warriors. While the Thunder are only 7-9 to start the season, George is still averaging 21.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.6 steals and 3.4 three-pointers per game. The Thunder have so little depth that even with two other superstars on the team, George can still put up lofty numbers. This has the potential to be a high-scoring contest Wednesday, resulting in George having significant value.

Denzel Valentine, CHI at UTA
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings = $4,800

The rebuilding Bulls brought Valentine off the bench to start this season, but have finally moved him to the starting small forward in place of Paul Zipser. Valentine appears to have grabbed hold of the position, averaging 14.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 4.0 three-pointers in his last three games. Without the injured Rudy Gobert anchoring their defense, the Jazz aren’t the same team defensively. Valentine has the potential to be one of the best value plays for the evening.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN at CLE
FanDuel = $7,200
DraftKings = $6,400

Hollis-Jefferson is coming off one of his best games of the season when he scored 16 points to go along with 12 rebounds, five assists and one steal Sunday against the Warriors. The Cavaliers present a similar opponent in style of play as they too tend to use a lot of small lineups, which is ideal for Hollis-Jefferson. The Nets play at the fastest pace (107) in the NBA, leaving Hollis-Jefferson with plenty of opportunities to provide production. Get him in your lineup at this reasonable price.

Lauri Markkanen, CHI at UTA
FanDuel = $6,200
DraftKings = $6,600

The Bulls continue to struggle this season, but Markkanen has been one of the bright spots on their depleted roster. The rookie is averaging 15.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.5 three-pointers in 31 minutes per game. The fight between Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic opened up a starting spot for Markkanen and it appears he is now going to hold onto it for the rest of the season. As one of the few quality scoring options on the team, he should continue to see heavy minutes again Wednesday. Based on his production and role on the team, this is a very reasonable price for Markkanen on both sites.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic, DEN at HOU
FanDuel = $9,000
DraftKings = $8,900

The Nuggets were dealt a significant blow Wednesday when it was announced Paul Millsap needs surgery on his injured wrist and will be out indefinitely. Millsap had the second-highest usage rate (23.7%) on the team, leaving a lot of opportunities for others to produce now that he is out. Jokic was already one of the focal points of the team as he had a 21.1% usage rate himself, but he could see increased production going forward. Both the Nuggets and Rockets and are in the top-12 in the NBA in terms of pace, so this could be a huge night for Jokic.

Thon Maker, MIL at PHO
FanDuel = $3,400
DraftKings = $3,300

The Bucks are going to be thin up front Wednesday as John Henson has already been ruled out for this game with an eye injury. That’s not good news because even though the Suns are horrible, they have a lot of size up front in Tyson Chandler, Alex Len, and Greg Monroe. Maker is only averaging 18 minutes per game this season but could see significantly more playing time in this contest. If you want to take a chance on a cheap center in tournament play, Maker could be in line for a decent performance.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks
Kyle Lowry, TOR vs. NY
FanDuel = $8,000
DraftKings = $7,700

Lowry has blown past his slow start to the season as he is averaging 19.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 7.8 assists over his last five games. One of the main reasons for his increased scoring is that he is 14-for-35 from behind the arc over his last four games. He and DeMar DeRozan are the focal points of the Raptors offense, so don’t expect his scoring opportunities to decrease anytime soon. The Knicks are in the top-five for most fantasy points allowed to point guards, leaving Lowry as a viable option at a reasonable price Friday.

Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN vs. UTA
FanDuel = $6,500
DraftKings = $5,500

Dinwiddie was stellar filling in for the injured D’Angelo Russell as he scored 12 points to go along with three rebounds, and 11 assists against a tough Boston Celtics defense Tuesday. This should come as no surprise as he is averaging 13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists in three starts this season. Russell is expected to be out again Friday, making Dinwiddie an excellent value play with so little depth behind him.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks
Donovan Mitchell, UTA at BKN
FanDuel = $6,400
DraftKings = $6,500

Mitchell has burst onto the scene in his rookie season and has taken away a starting job from Rodney Hood, who many had thought was primed for a big season. In seven games as a member of the starting unit, Mitchell is averaging 16.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.7 three-pointers per game. His usage rate of 29.1% puts him at 16th in the NBA, which is ahead of the likes of Stephen Curry, Blake Griffin, and John Wall. The Jazz will rely on him heavily for offense again Friday, so there is great potential here against a bad Nets defense.

Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs. PHO
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings = $5,100

Clarkson has been playing really well this season and now he’s stealing minutes away from the struggling Lonzo Ball. Clarkson has played at least 26 minutes and scored at least 20 points in both of the last two games. He took a massive 40 combined shots in those games, so the Lakers clearly have no problem feeding him the ball when he’s hot. The Lakers just played the Suns Monday and Clarkson put up 25 points in that game, so keep rolling with him until he shows signs of slowing down.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks
LeBron James, CLE vs. LAC
FanDuel = $11,400
DraftKings = $11,200

James continues to log heavy minutes for the Cavaliers as he has been on the floor for at least 36 minutes in nine straight games. There is never any question that he can provide elite all-around stat lines and with the Cavaliers struggles so far, there aren’t many blowouts where he sits in the fourth quarter. The Clippers have plenty of offensive weapons, so this could be another close contest. He will cost you a ton, but he should be well worth it Friday.

Thabo Sefolosha, UTA at BKN
FanDuel = $4,300
DraftKings = $4,200

Sefolosha started and played 32 minutes when these teams met Saturday, finishing with nine points, nine rebounds, one assist and five steals. The Nets play a lot of small lineups, so even if Sefolosha doesn’t start Friday, he should see increased minutes. While he doesn’t have a ton of offensive upside, he can provide you with enough rebounds and steals to be of value at this cheap price.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN vs. UTA
FanDuel = $7,400
DraftKings = $6,000

Hollis-Jefferson is already averaging a career-high 28 minutes per game this season, but he has played even more lately with at least 30 minutes in six of his last seven games. With the Nets down their two best offensive players in Russell and Jeremy Lin, they are going to need scoring from Hollis-Jefferson. He is taking an average of 10 shots per contest and is shooting 49.2% from the field, taking his game to new levels so far. In a game that should see plenty of small lineups, look for him to thrive.

Derrick Favors, UTA at BKN
FanDuel = $6,500
DraftKings = $5,900

Yes, I like a lot of players from this game. What’s not to like though? The Nets are allowing the second-most points per game in the league and the Jazz are without their defensive anchor in Rudy Gobert. Favors is now starting at center and crushed the Nets for 24 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks in their previous meeting. The Nets are particularly bad at guarding opposing centers, so expect Favors (who is also eligible at power forward on both sites) to shine once again.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks
Jusuf Nurkic, POR at SAC
FanDuel = $7,700
DraftKings = $7,000

Speaking of teams who can’t defend centers, I present to you the Kings. The Kings were destroyed by Dewayne Dedmon of the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday as he scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. While Dedmon is a fine player, he doesn’t have anywhere near the offensive skills that Nurkic does. Don’t overthink it, put Nurkic in your entry.

Mason Plumlee, DEN vs. NO
FanDuel = $3,500
DraftKings = $3,700

Plumlee would be starting for a lot of other teams in the league, but he’s buried behind Nikola Jokic in Denver. As a result, he is only averaging 15 minutes per game. There is the potential that he could see an increase in playing time Friday against the big Pelicans frontcourt. With averages of 6.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks per game in his limited playing time this year, he could far exceed his price point with some extra run in this game. If you want to take a chance on a cheap center in tournament play, Plumlee is someone you should consider.

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks for 10/28/17

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks for 10/28/17

Point Guard

Damian Lillard
FD$9,300 DK $8,800

If you’re ever going to play Damian Lillard, this is the spot. I’m not sure there is a single better situation he could be in right now. With Eric Bledsoe out, this fast-paced Suns team is working with Mike James and Tyler Ulis at the point. Both have been pitiful and it’s a big reason why the Suns have allowed the 4th most FP to PG’s on the season. Lillard has played well to start the year, but we haven’t seen the breakout contest we all know is right on the horizon. He’s also at home in the Moda Center, where most of those games happen. Lillard is my favorite guard on the slate and it isn’t very close. He will be in 100% of my cash games and tournaments. While I don’t think he’s THAT big of a must, that’s my personal stand. PG as a whole is pretty weak and Lillard gives you a 45 fantasy point floor with the upside for 65.

Dennis Smith Jr.
FD $6,500 DK $6,000

Dennis Smith Jr. has been as advertised. It’s always tough trusting preseason numbers, but it looks like they were correct here. Dennis Smith Jr. is a very good point guard and it looks to me like he has quite the future in this league. As for his role on this team, it’s consistent. He is getting the ball in his hands for 28-30 minutes and creating whenever possible. He then gets another 5-10 mins at SG, where he’s averaged just over 1 FP per minute. He’s bounced back quickly from the injury and is looking like a guy we will be targeting all season long. Tonight, he faces off with the 76ers. The 6’ers play a lot faster than the Mavs and the PG is always the one to benefit most in pace-up affairs. Smith is still affordable on both sites and makes an excellent play in all formats. He’s locked into the minutes and at least 30 fantasy points in this cupcake match-up.

Shooting Guard

Devin Booker
FD $7,000 DK $7,400

With shooting guard one of the ugliest spots on the board, we’ll return to the Moda Center and take a look at the Suns side of the ball. With Eric Bledsoe all but ruled out forever, this is Booker’s team to lose. He is going to get the ball in his hands and shoot as much as he possibly can. He’s been over 20 shots in each game without Bledsoe and this pace-up affair with the Blazers should be no different. He’ll match-up with a good defender in C.J. McCollum, but it doesn’t matter. He isn’t a Tony Allen or Pat Bev type, but more of just a hard-nosed defender. Booker has put up 40 real-life points on guys much better. When his shots are falling, it doesn’t matter who is playing defense. This game is currently sitting with the highest over/under of the night and I’ll be looking to get as much ownership as possible to it. Booker gives you the top Suns piece in a way too affordable tag. Look for Booker to be closer to $9k before too long. You can target McCollum on the other side as well, but I like the Lillard side of things more.

Rodney Hood
FD $5,300 DK $5,100

Rodney Hood is quite the stressful DFS asset. Opposed from having some type of injury tag EVERY DAY, he produces. However, for the first time in what seems like years, Rodney Hood has no O or Q next to his name. Crazy, I know. So, that means we can assume a healthy Rodney Hood against the Lakers. We know the Lakers don’t play much defense and they ranked 3rd worst against SG’s in 2016. That could change with KCP there now, but it hasn’t yet. Hood has played well through his nicks, intestinal issues, and whatever else may hinder a guy with no pain tolerance. He’s gone for well over 1 FP per minute, while shooting under his career average. Hood is way too cheap on both sites for this match-up and he should hit value easily and early. Shooting guard isn’t a very attractive spot, so Hood will be my main focus after Booker. At most positions, I spread my exposure to 4 or 5 guys in total. At shooting guard, there’s a good chance it stays at 3 tonight.

Small Forward

LeBron James
FD $11,300 DK $10,700

We haven’t touched on anyone super expensive, so you can fit LeBron if you want him on this slate. I definitely don’t think it’s a must, so keep that in mind. James is playing great basketball and has been over 60 fantasy points in each of the last 2 games. He now sees a favorable match-up against the Pelicans, who have no SF. They also don’t have anyone that is remotely Lebron James body type. I know not many are, but most teams have some 6’8 fighter than can go and duel with LBJ. For the Pelicans, I guess that’s Dante Cunningham or Quincy Pondexter. LOL. Lebron is going to run this floor and do whatever he wants. The Pelicans should also be without Anthony Davis, which widens the floor and the paint. Cousins is fine down low, but he’s not much of a shot contender. As long as this game stays remotely close, you can pencil in James for 50. His upside is always 70+ if the game stays close down to the final buzzer. Pairing James and Cousins is something I’ll look to do a lot of in tournaments. You have the value on this slate to do it with Lillard still in your lineup.

Harrison Barnes
FD $6,400 DK $5,700

There could be a bias here, as Harrison Barnes is a guy I love to roster. I’m not sure why. I despised him on the Warriors and said many times that he was my least favorite player on the planet. THen he moves to Dallas and after watching him play, was a fan. Now, I roster him what seems like every day. It works quite well for the intended purpose. Now, Barnes can be played in tournaments, but it’s not his thing. He’ll have a few random big games this year, but it won’t be often. Barnes is a guy who lives on consistency. He’s been over 25 FP in each game and now sees one against the shot-happy 76ers. This is one of the games with a bunch of points and a close spread, so you’re going to almost need some exposure. Barnes and Covington will be an interesting match-up to watch as they both play solid defense. Barns is the guy who this offense runs through and at this price, he’s as safe as can be against a run and gun 6ers squad. Don’t hesitate on Barnes if you need to pay down to the mid-range.

Power Forward

Kelly Olynyk
FD $5,500 DK $5,400

I could have gone James Johnson here as well, but he’s been priced up like crazy. Instead, with Hassan Whiteside out, we’ll look for revenge in Kelly Olynyk. Olynyk expressed to the media that this isn’t much of a revenge game as all the Celtics are gone. Still, he admitted there will be some extra juice there. It’s undeniable. He could also be lying and have a lot of vengeance towards this organization. They stuck him on the bench over guys like Amir Johnson for 4 seasons. None of it matters if he doesn’t get the minutes. Fortunately, this Celtics match-up fits his style perfectly and we should see no less than 30 minutes out of him. He has been at 2.32 FP/min on the season and is looking like a guy who has a lot of fantasy relevance at the price. The match-up with the Celtics is a speed-up game for the Heat, who play at a league-ranked 28th pace. Olynyk will come off the bench, but should be in there down the stretch. Expect 28-32 solid minutes.

Lauri Markkanen
FD $6,700 DK $6,300

Lauri Markkanen is a bit more expensive than Olynyk, but it makes sense why. Markkanen has been pretty consistent as a rookie, going for 25+ fantasy points in each of his first 4 games. Coming out of Arizona, he was supposed to be ready for the NBA, but this is still a surprise. He now sees his best match-up yet against a fast-paced Thunder team who doesn’t love defense. They have a lot of strong individual defenders (George, Roberson, Adams), but lack as a team because of the pace they play at. It gives teams extra possessions and even if the possessions aren’t super efficient, it’s better than Facing the Miami Heat and having far less of them. Markkanen is getting the ball a ton and we’ll see a solid 40 FP breakout a lot sooner than later. I’m hesitant to call it here, but I love him as a cash gameplay that you don’t have to worry all that much about.

Center

DeMarcus Cousins
FD $12,000 DK $11,900

Let’s assume Anthony Davis is playing. DeMarcus Cousins is interesting, but nowhere near a must. He would get a solid match-up against Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson, but will see a dramatically smaller usage %. Personally, if Anthony Davis plays, I’ll just try to get more LeBron James in hope it stays close. Now if Davis is out, this is once again a spot for Cousins to wild out. Because Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson don’t have much of a chance on a guy like Boogie, I’d bet LeBron covers him on the outside in the 4th quarter. He will still get bullied inside by Boogie, though, so it’ll be tough. It’s never easy when the 340 pound 7-foot behemoth can shoot it like a butterfly and then talk about your mother as he runs down the court. Cousins is a match-up nightmare for any team in this league, but one that sports Kevin Love at the 5 is in greater need than most. If Davis is out, play COusins in cash games and tournaments. You won’t be alone, but neither were the people who jumped on last game. I’m sure they weren’t upset about too many people on the train with them.

Jusuf Nurkic
FD $7,000 DK $6,400

To start the year, it’s been Jusuf Nurkic and Tim Hardaway Jr. that are giving me mini heart attacks. At least for Hardaway, he’s on the floor and able to do damage. For Nurkic, the dude just fouls every single second he’s out there. It’s literally tough for me to write this without any expletives towards the guy. I lost a huge H2H by 4 points with a 10 from him, so forgive me. You’re probably now wondering why the hell I would want to play him against Tyson Chandler and Alex Len. Well, for one, variance. Nurkic hasn’t had these foul issues in the past and they will once again fall by the wayside in the near future. We’re (I) am just getting screwed over in the process. Secondly, there aren’t many fouls to be had against the Suns. With Bledsoe going, the main scorer is a jump shooter. Booker doesn’t enter the lane often and when he does, it’s a floater. This is the fastest game on the board and Nurkic is a lock for 1 FP/min. As long as he can stay out of foul trouble, a 45 FP performance is no big deal at all.
